Plan Your Visit

We welcome you to 1st Church. Whether you are a new believer, new resident, or looking for a permanent church home, the decision of where to worship is an important one.   Many questions might flood your mind:  How will I fit in? Do they worship in a way I want to worship? Will the music be too traditional, to rocky, or just right?  Do they have something for my kids or my teens?  The goal of 1st Church is to make you feel like you have come home. A place where you can bring your burdens and requests.  A place where you feel you have a family ready and waiting to welcome you with open arms.  To help you learn more about 1st Church, we would like to answer some of your most frequently asked questions.

What Worship Experience is Right for Me?

1st  Church offers three worship options for our guest:

Praise in the Park – a blended service with music, prayer and a message each Sunday beginning at 8:00 am and held at the Gilchrist Park Pavilion, 400 W Retta Esplanade, Punta Gorda, FL. This service is open to everyone, and will begin your Sunday with a wonderful time of worship with other believers.

Contemporary Worship – a relaxed service with music by our Praise Band, prayer and a message every Sunday at 9:15 pm in our Life Center, located on the Southeast side of our campus. This service is open to everyone and features music by such artists as Bethel, Elevation, Jeremy Camp and more. Come as you are and worship with us every Sunday at 9:15 am.

Traditional Worship – features a more liturgical service, with beautiful music and hymns from our Director of Music Ministries, talented vocalists and musicians and Chancel Ringers, prayer and a message every Sunday at 11:00 am in our Life Center.

What Is the Worship Service like?

It is our hope you will feel at home when you visit 1st Church. Worship with the 1st Church family is our visible expression of praise to God.  We believe Christ-centered fellowship, along with music and scripture focused messages are meant to inspire and encourage our Church family throughout the week.  Communion is offered to all believers  every first Sunday of the month. If our staff or volunteers can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to let us know.
